Dems want voucher funding as counties pause Child Care Assistance Program

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEXSTAR) — Between meetings and hearings on Tuesday, a cadre Democratic Assemblymembers and childcare advocates rallied at the New York State Capitol for more funding in the state budget. They want Governor Kathy Hochul to fully fund vouchers and raise wages for childcare workers statewide to achieve universal childcare.
